Dr. Thomas Boerger is a recognised specialist in Hip and Knee surgery. With an international career spanning three decades, Dr. Boerger is fully licenced and registered in the UK & Gibraltar as well as Spain.

Dr. Boerger offers a holistic approach, from the initial in-depth consultation, comprehensive treatment plan, proven surgery techniques and accelerated recovery protocols.

Dr. Thomas Boerger completed his medical training in Berlin in 1990 and moved to the UK for his higher surgical training in orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Boerger completed his orthopaedic and trauma specialist training at Imperial College London. He then undertook a number of overseas fellowships, including at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports medicine unit, The Calvary Hip and Knee Unit, Canberra, and at the First Orthopaedic Clinic at the University of Florence. 

In 2006 he was appointed consultant orthopaedic surgeon at St Bernard’s Hospital in Gibraltar. 

His major interests are knee ligament reconstruction, knee and hip joint replacement and trauma surgery.
