Sylvana is a dedicated and compassionate trainee counsellor specialising in a person-centered approach. With a genuine passion for helping others, Sylvana believes in the inherent worth and potential of every individual. She is committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings and anxieties.
Education and Training:
Sylvana is training to become a qualified counselor through the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB), with a focus on person-centered therapy. Being a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) reflects on her high standards of proficiency, professionalism and ethical practice.
Sylvana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies Human Resource Management and a Masters in Leadership and Management in Education, which laid the foundation for her understanding of human behavior.
She has been a lecturer and mentor within the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) over the last 15 years and also boasts 17 years’ worth of experience as a secondary school teacher, something which has provided her with valuable insights, skills and perspectives that enhance the effectiveness of a counsellor working with teenagers and adults.
Mission and Approach:
Note: As a trainee counsellor, Sylvana works under the supervision and guidance of a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychologist.
